Thurs, Oct 1 Greenwich - Naval Academy College

Brian's sister Adele came over for lunch - Brian's homemade chicken soup, which was delicious. Then we were off to Greenwich. (from Limehouse to Greenwich via DLR, through Canary Wharf - a huge development of office highrises)

We walked from the tube station along the main streets to the Old Royal Naval College.

(After having coffee/pastries, of course)

Spent a few minutes enjoying the beauty of the chapel.

Painted Hall - had only a few minutes here before an alarm went off and we were told to evacuate immediately; no idea what this was about

In our stroll around the academy grounds (which also houses the University of Greenwich) we encountered a crew/actors in the process of filming a TV series called The Crown, about the Royal family, a historical series, to air in 2016.

This actor portrays Sir Winston Churchill

Bought a few dessert forks at the Greenwich Market.  Had never seen any similar forks before.

Thought this piece of art was great.  Just outside the DLR station (district light rail)

Home by 6:30.
